How to Visit
What should you expect when you visit?
Any time you go some place new, it’s an adventure. Maybe you’re a little nervous about what you’ll find. Relax. We’ll try hard to smooth out the road and make your visit easy.
Step 1: Decide to visit one of our worship services. Services are held every Sunday at 8:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. Visitors are always welcome! During our first service, Bishop Johnson uses a teaching method of delivering the message. The second service is more contemporary, and Bishop Johnson uses a preaching method of sharing the Word. You’re going to hear great music, meet wonderful people, hear an uplifting message, and witness the worship of God at both services.
Step 2:How to get there: We don’t worship in a traditional church building. We are the anchor building located within the “ Gateway Plaza”. Limited bus transportation is provided. We are just one block north of the 10 Freeway on the east side of Riverside Ave. in Rialto, CA. There’s plenty of parking in front or you can use Omni-Bus Route 22
Step 3: What to wear: As a Non-traditional church, we do not focus on how people are dressed. You don’t have to dress up. Wear what’s comfortable. We simply request that your dress be modest and respectful.
Step 4: What about my children? – Children are welcome and are included in the worship experience. Families can choose to place their children in an age specific ministry or to have them worship in the regular service.
Step 5: What happens when I walk through the door? We are going to welcome you – probably with a big hug. We are a culturally diverse congregation. We are a friendly place, so anyone will be happy to answer questions, and help you get seated.
Step 6: Do I have to participate in the service or in the offering? Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty! Therefore, the amount of participation by you is based upon how the Lord leads you. Some people stand up: some people stay seated. We recognize that this may be a new experience for you, and promise not to judge you. During the service we acknowledge our guest to make them feel welcome, and we provide them with information about our church. If you don’t want to raise your hand, you can pick up this material on our information table at the rear of the church. And the Offering is for those who wish to support our church family, as an expression of our love and commitment to the Lord.
Step 7:Sunday School and Bible Study starts at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday mornings and 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday evenings. Find out more about our classes at the information table located on the west side of our lobby. Children and Youth Church is available during all services.
Step 8: What should I do at the end of the service? Come up to meet the Bishop or talk to one of our Elders. They have name tags on. If our service spoke to your heart, ask them about the many ways to continue this adventure. We are all here to provide information and direction.
